'friends of light' has been been selected to participate in the Spring 2017 session of the Coop Academy, an intensive 5-month long training and support program that helps teams of aspiring entrepreneurs develop worker-owned green businesses.
This will be an intense process of learning and growth for us as a cooperative business. We have created this blog as a place to share resources and reflections on our challenges and progress with a wish to contribute to the broader conversation about our cultural condition at this critical moment in time.
We see worker cooperatives as a transformative political tool to create economic and social structures that have human values and human needs at their core.
The Coop Academy receives support from the City of New York’s Worker Cooperative Business Development Initiative and the Simon Bolivar Foundation.
The Green Worker has been incubating green worker coops for more than 13 years.
